When a customer calls back four weeks after a visit, the technician is starting from zero. Without photographs, the entire job must be re-evaluated from scratch. With photographs, the technician has an immediate record of what was found, what it looked like, where it was located, and what was done. The photos do not just support the report -- they are the record. The report describes what the photos show.

Where possible, video of active dye being drawn toward an opening is stronger evidence than a still image of the dye after it has already moved. A short clip showing movement in real time is compelling documentation for the customer and unambiguous for any follow-up technician.
The Patch
If a temporary underwater epoxy patch or hydraulic cement patch was applied, photograph it before leaving. A patched finding with no photo cannot be verified later. The patch photo closes the documentation loop: here is the finding, here is where we addressed it.
Untested Areas
If an area could not be evaluated -- water clarity, access limitation, missing plug, inaccessible fitting -- photograph that area with a note. The photo documents why the limitation exists and prevents a future dispute about whether the area was evaluated or simply skipped.
