Use controlled labs. Teach calm water, small dye amounts, body movement control, false positives, false negatives, and documentation standards.

Safety and Scope
Cover electrical awareness, water safety, compressed air, pressure, main drains, chemicals, slips and falls, PPE, excavation boundaries, confined-space awareness, and when to stop work.

Business Basics
Introduce scheduling, pricing basics, customer intake, Google Business Profile, lead response, and follow-up systems. The field skill earns money when the business systems are in place.
Do not claim that finishing the course makes someone licensed, insured, or ready for complex unsupervised work. The curriculum prepares students for the next step -- it does not replace local licensing requirements, insurance, employer policy, field supervision, or trade experience. Local rules vary.
